How It Works.

Choosing a financial advisor isn’t easy. Many firms sound the same, and it’s hard to know what you’re really getting.

That’s why I offer a Free Financial Health Assessment. It's a three-step process with plenty of time together to talk through your situation, answer your questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.

By the end, you’ll have a clear picture of where you stand today and a better understanding of exactly how I can help.

*I don’t love the word free, but it's true. See FAQ below.

Answer
Having worked for some of the largest financial firms, I saw firsthand how advisors were measured by the number of clients they could take on—not by the quality of advice they provided. I always felt this was backwards. It encourages advisors to juggle too many clients, leading to generic, one-size-fits-all advice that overlooks individual needs, especially when it comes to taxes and retirement planning.

Choosing who to trust with your financial future is a big decision—one that shouldn’t be made after just a brief conversation. I don’t take that decision lightly. That’s why this process is designed to give us both an opportunity to evaluate whether working together makes sense for the long term. It’s educational and pressure-free, giving you clarity on how I can help before ever making any commitments.
Answer

They aren’t looking for a one-time plan but a long-term, collaborative relationship with an advisor who helps them adjust as life evolves. Whether it’s refining withdrawal strategies, adapting to new tax laws, or ensuring their portfolio aligns with their priorities, they value having someone who understands their unique situation and is focused on their long-term success.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this free? What’s the catch?

Hopefully, you'll only need to choose a financial advisor once in your life. It's a big decision, and you deserve the chance to fully understand the process and have all of your questions answered before making that choice.

This process is a no-pressure way for both of us to see if it feels like the right fit. My focus is on building long-term relationships, and that begins with making sure we're aligned before either of us make any decisions.

Who is this for?

Most of the people I work with are in their 50s or 60s. They’re either thinking about retirement or already there, and want ongoing advice from someone they can count on as life evolves.

Some have worked with advisors before but felt they were being sold products they didn't want or need. Others have managed things themselves but now want a more structured and collaborative approach for the years ahead.

What will I learn from this process?

You’ll walk away with a clear picture of where you stand today and what steps can help strengthen your retirement plan.

We’ll cover:

  • Retirement Income – How different income sources, such as Social Security, and your portfolio work together to support your lifestyle.
  • Tax Planning – Ways to reduce taxes now and later.
  • Cohesive Investment Strategy – Building a portfolio to support both short-term needs and long-term goals.
What happens after the assessment?

There’s no pressure to decide right away. You’ll have time to review everything we discussed and see if it feels like the right fit.

If we move forward, we’ll build out the rest of your retirement and tax plan. Your investments will be held at Charles Schwab, giving you access to a secure, well-established platform while continuing to work directly with me.

You’ll never be passed off to someone else. We’ll meet formally in the Spring and Fall, and I'm always available between meetings whenever questions come up.
